Step 1:

  • First of all, you need to take your empty photo frame and remove the glass panel inside of it.
  • After doing so, use your measuring tape to find the size of the frame. Once you have gotten the right measurements for the frame, you then need to attach your wire mesh in place of where the glass of the frame was before.
  • After you have added the mesh to the frame, you then want to spread your artificial vertical garden Sydney moss across the mesh (this will help with the plants growth and also will complement your new garden).
  • Using the same measurements that you used before to insert the mesh, you will need to cut for thick pieces of timber. This will make the frame deeper and allow more space for the plants to grow and collect nutrients.

Step 2:

  • Now that you have cut four nice, thick pieces of timber, you're going to want to attach them off course.
  • Take your hammer and nails, and carefully without injuring yourself, hit the nails into each block of timber. Use two nails on either side.

Step 3:

  • Fill the photo frame to the brim with soil and then spread it evenly.
  • Once your soil is spread evenly, you will need to then use your saw to cut out a thin piece of timber.
  • Make sure to use the same measurements that you did for the wire mesh.

Step 4:

  • Take the newly cut piece of timber and nail it to the frame in each corner, so that the soil is fully covered.

Step 5:

  • Flip the photo frame over to reveal the moss and the mesh.
  •  Take your plants or seeds and place them inside of the soil.
  • Cover the soil completely in different varieties of plants. This will help your garden stand out more.

Step 6:

  • Attach some hooks to the frame to allow it to hang in place
  • Find a place to hang your newly made creation. If you want to attach it to a brick wall, you may need to use a drill.

Repeat the steps above to expand your garden, and soon enough, you will have all of your neighbors sticking their heads over the fence just to admire your garden. Walla! There you have it, your own great garden.
